Glenmore is a great starting point for venturing into Del Ray, Arlington (including Pentagon City and Crystal City) and downtown D.C. Residents also find it easy to commute to the Pentagon and Fort Belvoir. There are 103 detached homes built between 1940 and 1950, with many of them having been recently updated. Cape Cods, colonials and ramblers make up the majority of homes. Children attend Alexandria City public schools-MacArthur Elementary, George Washington Middle and T.C. Williams High Schools.
Cameron Run Regional Park is only a few minutes away. It offers many recreational opportunities such as a Great Waves Waterpark, multiple batting cages and a miniature golf course. Another great leisure spot is the Hoffman Town Center, strategically located between Eisenhower and Telegraph Roads. It currently houses a 22-screen AMC Movie Theater and several restaurants including Ted’s Montana Grill, Delia’s, Galae Thai and Coldstone Creamery. Plans are also in the works for additional retail, office, residential and hotel spaces.
