Governors Hill is a prestigious community of single family homes as well as townhomes in Alexandria, Virginia. It has a prime location near Old Town Alexandria, Metro and downtown D.C. The convenience and excitement of Old Town Alexandria is only a few minutes drive away. Numerous boutiques, art galleries, award-winning restaurants and Whole Foods Market are very convenient. Historical attractions include the Masonic Temple, Carlyle House and Gadsby’s Tavern. Residents can easily access the King Street Metro (blue and yellow line trains), Alexandria’s Union Station (Amtrak and VRE) and all major transportation routes such as Interstates 495,395 and 95. Bus service is readily available, as are other Metro stations (Huntington, Van Dorn and more). The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Hoffman Buildings are close by, as is Fort Belvoir, the Pentagon and a U.S. Army Reserve Center.

Recreation and leisure opportunities abound. Franconia District Park and RECenter, a Fairfax County facility, offers an indoor swimming pool and exercise facility, sports courts and athletic fields. Kids of all ages can participate in the fun of Cameron Run Regional Park, which features a Great Waves Waterpark, multiple batting cages and a miniature golf course. The Kingstowne and Hoffman Town Centers each offer their own movie theaters along with a mixture of restaurants. Governors Hill is close to the exciting Del Ray, Crystal City and Shirlington areas-all offer a unique mix of entertainment choices. Shopping areas include Tyson’s Corner and Tyson’s Galleria, both of which include department stores plus upscale and specialty shops. The Fashion Center at Pentagon City and Fair Oaks Mall are options as well.
