What’s next for the Kingstowne Town Center?

Kingstowne Town Center

Kingstowne Town Center

The February issue of The Kingstonian, the official publication of the Kingstowne Residential Owners Corporation had an informative piece on what is in store for the Kingstowne Town Center. Right now, the vibrant Town Center features 305,000 square feet of office, 245,000 square feet of restaurants and retail plus the 70,000 square foot Regal Cinema. There is currently a large parking lot located across from the Regal Cinema and behind several restaurants at the Town Center. Back in 2008, approval was given for the building of four new office buildings in that location, with a total of 1.2 million square feet of space. Now, Halle Companies is proposing to change this to 870,000 square feet of residential space in four buildings, with 68,000 square feet of ground-level retail, which would include stores, restaurants, coffee shops and more. They would also like to include a plaza area for the community to enjoy.

We think this would be great! More shops, restaurants and housing are always in high demand. We hope that this project will move forward soon. What restaurants or shops would you like see in Kingstowne? Another restaurant from the Great American Restaurants Group (Mike’s American, Artie’s, Coastal Flats and more) would be terrific, as would a P.F. Chang’s!
